Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes’ hot start vs. Saints made LeBron James send out a viral social media post

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs came out just as you would expect them to on Monday night against the New Orleans Saints.

After a Bryan Cook interception off of Saints’ Derek Carr, Mahomes and the offense got to work right away. Mahomes connected with tight end Travis Kelce on three passes and right end Noah Gray on another. Running back Kareem Hunt did the rest and the Chiefs looked like an offense not missing their top wide receiver .

Los Angeles Lakers small forward LeBron James took notice of what the Chiefs did on the first drive of the game because of course he did. Specifically, James pointed out how good the offense is as long as Mahomes is out there.

“KC just so good man! Doesn’t matter who’s not in the lineup as long as QB1 is,” James said on X (Twitter).

The Lakers played on Sunday and don’t play again until Thursday, so it is no surprise that James is tuned into Chiefs vs. Saints on Monday night. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer is a known Cleveland Browns fan and has even supported the Dallas Cowboys openly. He was a pretty good football player at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s and could have had a college career out of it at minimum.

Mahomes and James reacting to each other’s greatness is nothing new, they have been doing it for a few years now. Two winners from two different sports that respect each other.

At the time of this article, the Chiefs lead the Saints 10-0 in the second quarter. Be sure to check back to A to Z Sports for everything postgame .
