Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recently shared the floor with his son, Bronny James, in an NBA preseason loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Following the matchup in which they became the first father-son duo to play in the same game, let alone on the same team, NFL legend and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders sent them a message.

Deion Sanders mentioned that the feat by LeBron and Bronny James was "historical."

He even said that he would be returning to play with his sons, Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders, who are currently rostered at Colorado.

"I’m COMING Back to play with my sons to!" Deion Sanders said. "This is HISTORICAL! Give this man his FLOWERS NOW! This speaks to Fatherhood, Excellence & Longevity."

After jokingly saying that he's ready to make a comeback and make history like LeBron and Bronny James, Deion Sanders posted an edit with his two sons, all of which were rocking Buffaloes uniforms.

LeBron James then responded to Deion Sanders' post.

"Let's go Prime!!!!" LeBron James commented with numerous laughing emojis.

In the Lakers' 118-114 loss to the Suns, LeBron James finished the game with 19 points, five assists and four rebounds in 19 minutes. Bronny James ended the contest with two rebounds in 13 minutes. With the loss, Los Angeles moved to 0-2 in the preseason.

The father-son duo will have a chance to officially play their first game together when the Lakers take the court on Oct. 22 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on opening night.

Deion Sanders may have had a legendary NFL career, but at 57 years old, a comeback seems highly unlikely, even if it comes with the chance to play with Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders, both of whom will be eligible for the 2025 NFL draft.

The Buffaloes head coach finished his NFL career as a six-time First All-Pro member, eight-time Pro Bowler and the 1994 Defensive Player of the Year.

While he may be unable to make a comeback, he surely respects what LeBron and Bronny James have been able to accomplish.
