Justin Merideth wins in his first back as Memorial head coach to bring his team’s record to 4-1.Santa Fe, who won last year’s city championship, still searches for their first win as they fall to 0-5 on the season. Memorial quarterback David McComb made easy work of the Santa Fe defense. He threw for 255 yards and two passing touchdowns along with a score on the ground as the Bulldogs finished with their highest point total against a 6A opponent this season.McComb got the scoring started with a 34-yard touchdown pass to wideout Isaac Woodard on a third and long. The Bulldogs went up 8-0 to start the game after Nick Booker converted on a two-point rush attempt.An Edmond Santa Fe punt was blocked on the following drive and recovered by Colton McComb inside the Wolves’ own five-yard line. Booker was the one to get his hands on the kick. David McComb ran in a touchdown three plays later on a quarterback keeper to make it 15-0.Santa Fe had an opportunity to put points on the board at the start of the second quarter, but junior kicker Alex Brannon hooked a 33-yard field goal to keep the Wolves scoreless.Edmond Memorial scored on their final two drives of the first half to further extend their lead. Running back Dakoda Knight punched it in from one yard out after catching a 37-yard pass from McComb out of the backfield, then Madden Willis scored from the one to give the Bulldogs a 29-0 lead at the halftime break.A stalwart Memorial defense rendered Santa Fe all-conference running back Demarius Robinson a non-factor all night. The Arizona State-commit ran for just 54 yards on 14 rushes Friday night and has yet to reach 100 yards in a game this season.Following an interception by Memorial’s Beau Bayouth, McComb again connected with Isaac Woodard for a 38-yard touchdown to make it 35-0 after a missed extra point. Woodard won a 50-50 ball over his defender and proceeded to bully his way into the endzone for the score.Santa Fe finally got on the board at the beginning of the fourth quarter after defensive back Rahnel Slaughter scooped up a Nick Booker fumble and returned it all the way inside the redzone. The Wolves capitalized with a one-yard touchdown run by Robinson.Edmond Memorial ran out the rest of the clock and won the Edlam matchup, 35-7, to become city champs. Isaac Woodard finished with 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five catches. Dakoda Knight added 31 rushing yards and a score, and Beau Bayouth had the interception on defense.For Santa Fe, sophomore quarterback Kason Delgado couldn’t get much going as he ended with 100 yards and a pick on 10-of-21 passing. Demarius Robinson was the team’s top receiver with 61 yards along with his 54 yards on the ground.Memorial now heads into week six for a road test against Yukon this Friday, Oct. 11. Edmond Santa Fe hopes to pick up its first win when they return home Friday to take on Broken Arrow.</div></body>
