Hattiesburg Couple Charged with Conspiracy to Commit Capitol Murder

On the morning of October 7, 2024, a couple from Hattiesburg was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit capitol murder.

John Pittman, owner of local business Colombia Block and Brick, along with his wife, Randa, an owner of Southern Colonel Mobile Homes, were arrested on a conspiracy charge.

These charges concern an alleged murder attempt that took place several months ago at the alleged victim's workplace. The alleged victim of the murder conspiracy plot is Mrs. Pittman's brother.

According to a press release from Forrest County Sheriff's Office took to social media at the time to plead for community help in identifying this man.

More information will be released to the public on their case as it is made available.
