They beat Sioux City East in their only match this past week. Let’s hope they’re back on Bound by this time next week.2. Sioux City East (14-10/0-1/LW: 3)3. Lewis Central (18-6/0-0/LW: 4)4. Glenwood (25-5/1-0/LW: 5)5. Kuemper Catholic (27-2/0-1/LW: 2)**The big happening this week: Glenwood over Kuemper Catholic. Sioux City East also recently has a win over Lewis Central, which beat Glenwood in their one meeting. There you go.6. Clarinda (22-5/5-1/LW: 6)**Another strong week for Clarinda, which beat some of the best 1A/2A teams (Shenandoah, Fremont-Mills) this week and took their only loss to Riverside.7. Sergeant Bluff-Luton (13-11/3-1/LW: 7)8. Red Oak (15-15/5-2/LW: 8)9. Abraham Lincoln (8-21/2-3/LW: 10)10. LeMars (11-12/2-2/LW: 9)**Sure seems like this is going to be the 10 the rest of the season. Minor change with AL jumping over LeMars due to their five-set win in MRC play this past week.MARTIN BLOG CLASS 1A/2A KMALAND VOLLEYBALL POWER RANKINGS 1. Ankeny Christian Academy (26-4/6-0/LW: 1)**The Eagles didn’t lose a set in six matches this past, including a trio of sweeps at their home quad with all kinds of Christians (Grand View, Pella and Waterloo).2. Shenandoah (19-7/4-1/LW: 3)3. Riverside (24-3/5-2/LW: 2)4. Tri-Center (21-9/7-0/LW: 5)5. Fremont-Mills (17-8/4-3/LW: 4)6. East Mills (22-7/2-0/LW: 6)7. Sidney (19-6/1-0/LW: 7)**The Corner Conference is officially just beating up on one another. Speaking of beating up on one another….Shenandoah moves to the No. 2 position with their win over Riverside, which also lost to Fremont-Mills and beat Clarinda at their home tournament on Saturday. Fremont-Mills lost to Stanton this past week, but they have a win over East Mills, which has a win over Sidney.8. Treynor (19-7/4-1/LW: 8)9. Southwest Valley (21-3/3-0/LW: 9)10. Stanton (15-13/3-2/LW: 10)**I didn’t want to go too crazy with the movement this week, even when you consider there are some results that could have led to that. I do think these are the best 10 in the 1A/2A segment. Treynor is still playing good volleyball and took a loss to St. Albert for the first time in three tries in a tournament format. Southwest Valley beat Stanton in the prior week, but the Viqueens then bounced back and swept Fremont-Mills. They could easily sit in the No. 5 spot, but like I wrote, I don’t want to go too crazy.11. St. Albert (13-18/4-1/LW: 16)12. Griswold (11-12/0-1/LW: 11)13. IKM-Manning (10-12/4-2/LW: 12)**Really strong week for St. Albert, which beat Treynor on their way to a Thomas Jefferson Tournament. Their lone loss of the week came to Clarinda. Griswold lost to Sidney while IKM-Manning took Ls to Tri-Center and Red Oak.14. Missouri Valley (13-16/2-4/LW: 14)15. Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton (10-3/2-0/LW: NR)16. Boyer Valley (19-7/1-1/LW: 15)17. Underwood (12-15/1-1/LW: 17)18. Lenox (19-14/2-0/LW: 18)19. Woodbine (10-15/1-0/LW: NR)20. Coon Rapids-Bayard (18-4/1-1/LW: 13)**Missouri Valley stays put, and then I had to sort out these wild RVC teams. Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton is the hottest of the four after a nice week with wins over Boyer Valley and Glidden-Ralston. Woodbine also upset Coon Rapids-Bayard and holds a spot ahead of them for now.
