Man shot during carjacking in CT, taken to hospital

A man was taken to the hospital after being shot during a carjacking in Bridgeport on Monday.

Emergency crews received the report of an aggravated assault with a firearm just before 8:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of Wood Avenue, according to Tiadora Josef, director of public information for the city of Bridgeport.

Josef said the victim was shot during a carjacking and was taken to an area hospital. His condition was not immediately clear.

Police are still investigating.
