Viral Video of Tense Exchange Between Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh Resurfaces After Jets' Shocking Firing

The shocking news came out on Tuesday morning that New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh was getting fired after five games of the 2024 season, with a 2-3 record on the year.

While it's surprising at face value, considering that the Jets were projected to be Super Bowl contenders this year, the breadcrumbs certainly led to this eventually happening. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the helm, and the somewhat tense relationship that he and Saleh had during their time together, you could predict this was going to happen should things not turn around.

Now that it did finally happen, a viral video of the two involved in a heated moment on the sideline has resurfaced online, with many thinking that this was a red-herring moment for the eventual dismissal.

After that Thursday night game against the New England Patriots, both Rodgers and Saleh brushed off the reaction as nothing but competitive fire in the moment, and nothing more was made of it.

Now that the head coach has been canned, though, it's pretty obvious that the writing was on the wall, and events like this were more important than they were made out to be.

Fans will have to wait and see who the Jets choose to hire this offseason to replace Saleh, but it will likely be someone who Rodgers approves of.
