Everyday Dinner Recipe: Honey-glazed soy salmon

This honey-glazed soy salmon is a staple in our household. My husband says I can make this every single week and he'd be happy as a clam.

It's a simple recipe which takes minimal prep time and about up to 20-30 minutes to create.

I pair it with white rice and veggies for a well-rounded, delicious dinner.

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 pound slab of fresh salmon (if frozen, make sure to thaw out first)
    • 1/4 cup of honey
    • 1 Tbsp chili powder
    • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 Tbsp crushed garlic cloves
    • 1 tsp olive oil
    • Salt and pepper, as needed

    Directions:

Warm pan on stovetop with 1 tsp olive oil over medium heat. While oil is warming, fork salmon generously. Take a fork and stab the fish multiple times. This will help the sauce seep into it and make it extra flavorful.

In a separate dish, prepare honey and chili powder. Combine to make into a thick paste.

Place salmon in pan and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Drizzle soy sauce atop salmon. Smear with garlic cloves then pour honey paste atop.

As the salmon cooks, the honey paste will turn into a thick sauce. As it falls to the sides of the fish and fills the pan, take a spoon to reapply sauce to fish, consistently throughout the cook process.

Cook for 15-20 minutes, until fish is done.

Remove from pan, slice a piece, and serve with sides.

Will you try this for dinner?

This will literally last 1-2 days in my household. My family eats this for lunch and dinner until it's completely gone.

It's incredibly tasty and marries the sweet and savory flavors very well.

I've had similar dishes at restaurants and this version is so much better.

    Enjoy!
