Davante Adams Won't Change Jets Offensive Issues

The struggles for the New York Jets offense have already cost head coach Robert Saleh his job.

What makes anyone think Davante Adams' arrival will suddenly change their fortune?

Despite making a change at head coach Tuesday morning, New York has plenty of questions still to answer on the offensive side of the ball. Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and offensive line coach Keith Carter are each expected to be safe at this time.

An offense that is 27th in the league in yards, one of the worst in rushing, and has given up 17 pressures in each of the last two games is not altering the offensive staff just yet.

What exactly can Adams fix then in regards to this offense?

Dysfunctional teams make decisions like these all the time. While Aaron Rodgers remains an elite quarterback in the eyes of the organization, they'll do whatever they can to please him.

Whether that means changing a head coach, or keeping an offensive coach regardless.

Adams is an elite receiver. He has recorded over 600 catches with Rodgers dating back to their time in Green Bay together.

But after firing Saleh, and keeping the train moving on their current offensive staff, it's pretty clear that Adams won't solve the bigger issues the team is currently dealing with.
