Some dogs make the perfect sibling to fellow pets and humans alike. Their hearts are just so full of love that they take great care to be gentle and compassionate with those around them. This is Dolly, the 3-year-old Boxer, who has been meeting the new rescues in the house—two Russian Tortoises.

By the looks of this sweet clip, Dolly fell head over heels for the two tortoises and it's the most adorable new friendship. Check them out!

Smitten is the word @sookieanddollytheboxer used to describe Dolly's fascination with the new members of the family and it's 100% accurate. Just look at her face as she watches their every move.

"I never knew how concerned Dolly would be about these tortoises," the caption says.

It's almost as if Dolly knew these two souls in another life and now they're reuniting. The way she tends to them immediately speaks volumes. Many people sounded off in the comments section about experiencing similar interactions with one common denominator—having a curious, loving Boxer.

"Boxers are such gentle souls. My first girl would protect baby bunnies, and any animal near us," one person said.

"We were taking care of two tortoises a couple of years ago. My Boxers were OBSESSED!" another shared.

"Maybe it's a boxer thing. Mine loooove my Tortoise," another added.

Whatever Dolly is feeling, we just know those Tortoises are lucky to have the most caring turtle nanny around!

    Boxers Have the Sweetest Temperament

Though the Boxer breed has a reputation for having high energy, sometimes jumping up on their people when excited, and in need of a moderate amount of exercise to keep them in line, there's another side to them that many pet parents and vets alike describe.

The American Kennel Club notes that a Boxer's "patience and protective nature" make them excellent companions to children, while their fearlessness and courage put them in the spotlight as amazing watchdogs.

These highly intelligent pups should be socialized in early puppyhood to ensure their prey drive with other small animals remains at bay. But with proper training, these problem-solvers can do just about anything, and with their childlike wonder and huge hearts, it's easy to see why Dolly deemed herself the Tortoises primary caregiver. They're truly gentle souls who are loyal to their pet parents and siblings.

Dolly is doing a fantastic job of watching over her new friends and if they could speak, they'd surely say the same thing.
