<body><div><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=0vfaz7_0vzC0Lxb00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0vfaz7_0vzC0Lxb00" width="980" height="653" ><figcaption>YouTube/Canva</figcaption></figure><p><a href="https://www.spirithalloween.com/">Spirit Halloween</a> is getting into a new spirit this year — the <i>Christmas</i> spirit.</p><p>The retail popup has announced plans to test out a Christmas-themed store, aptly called Spirit Christmas.</p><p>Similar to its spooky counterpart, the jolly new concept will occupy vacant buildings across the nation to bring shoppers everything they could possibly need for the holiday season.</p><h2>Where Are the Spirit Christmas Stores Opening?</h2><p>The plan is to open 10 Spirit Christmas locations in 2024.</p><p>According to their website, the stores are primarily in the Northeast part of the country in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.</p><p>And for one location, you won't have to wait until <i>after</i> Halloween to shop: The Mays Landing, N.J. location will <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/shopping/2024/10/08/spirit-halloween-christmas-locations-northeast/75567767007/">open on Oct. 18</a>, with the rest unwrapping their doors in early November.</p><p>Spirit Christmas promises "aisles full of Christmas magic," as well as photos with Santa.</p><h2>What Is Spirit Halloween?</h2><p>As the <a href="https://www.spirithalloween.com/content.jsp?pageName=About">largest Halloween retailer</a> in the country, Spirit Halloween operates more than 1,500 locations. The first store opened in 1983 with the goal of giving shoppers everything they needed for the holiday: Costumes, decorations, party supplies and more.</p><p>Spirit Halloween operates as a temporary store. Each year the retailer opens up shop in vacant storefronts across the nation, almost like a zombie coming back to life.</p><p>Recently <i>Saturday Night Live</i> created a parody skit about Spirit Halloween's business model. The store fired back at the show on social media by creating a faux costume called <a href="https://x.com/SpiritHalloween/status/1840852265663406281">"Irrelevant 50-Year-Old TV Show."</a></p></div></body>
