RHONY’s Erin Lichy Says Husband Abe ‘Betrayed’ Her and ‘Added So Much Stress’

During the premiere episode of Real Housewives of New York , viewers couldn’t help but notice the tension between Erin Lichy and her husband. Erin and Abe Lichy took their kids out for ice cream, and got into a little tiff on camera.

Couple that with further emotions from Erin in the Season 15 trailer, and there are questions about what is going on the marriage. A teaser for episode 2 provided more insight, but Erin’s words are still cryptic at best.

“The truth came out” at a difficult time in Erin Lichy’s life

Erin revealed in the second episode that Abe “betrayed” her.

While on a shopping trip with Ubah Hassan and Erin’s mom, the realtor broke down when questioned about her marriage. She said, “Yeah. We had a thing. I don’t tell anyone.”

“I just needed him to be there for me in this time with everything with my mom. He just piles it on when there’s [expletive] I didn’t know about,” Erin added.

The RHONY star referenced “decisions” Abe made solo that left her “furious.” Erin shared more in a confessional interview.

“There were some decisions that Abe made without discussing it with me,” she shared. “But the problem was that the truth came out right in the middle of me dealing with my mom and everything that we’re going through. So I wasn’t able to lean on him because he betrayed me and I was furious with him, and it just added so much more stress.”

Viewers were left to come to their own conclusions. And according to multiple social media posts speculating about the issue, it wasn’t an affair .

Fans don’t think there was infidelity in the marriage

It was suspected there was a connection with news from 2024. The Lichy’s were sued by a former landlord for nearly $44,000 in unpaid rent for a Tribeca apartment.

But currently, the RHONY star and her husband are doing well. Erin shared an Instagram story on October 2, 2024 letting fans know that she and Abe are solid.

“Are you guys OK?” a fan asked. Erin shared the response, “Yes cutie” with the praying hands emoji.
