A much-loved Hollywood actress will join the festivities for this year’s celebration of the Spirit of Halloweentown in St. Helens.

Kathy Najimy, best known for her roles in “Hocus Pocus” and “Sister Act,” will be appearing on Saturday, Oct. 12, and Sunday, Oct. 13. Najimy played alongside Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker in 1993’s “Hocus Pocus,” which follows the antics of three witches who were executed in the 17th century only to be resurrected on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts.

She’s also known for her performance of Sister Mary Patrick in the film “Sister Act,” which stars Whoopi Goldberg who joins a convent after being placed in a witness protection program.

Photos with Najimy start at $65 (an autograph is $50) and a group shot is available for $130.

However, if the stars of “Halloweentown” are more your cup of tea, a celebrity meet and greet with Paul Zimmerman, who played Dylan Piper in the movie, and Phillip Van Dyke, who played Luke, also is set for Oct. 12 and 13. Tickets for a photo with the two stars starts at $85.

Spirit of Halloweentown continues on specific nights through Oct. 31 in a celebration that offers spooky attractions, live performances and family-friendly activities, which are held in the Riverfront District of St. Helens.

While the event is free, tickets are required for select activities such as the Haunted House, exhibits and other attractions.
