Let's start with the good part. A new article by <a href="https://crimecapsule.com/which-state-has-produced-the-most-serial-killers/">Crime Capsule</a> says that Illinois is not a top 10 state for producing serial killers. The bad news? The list of notorious serial killers that were not born in Illinois, but ended up in the state include <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Otto_Hoch">Johann Otto Hoch</a> who was known as the "Bluebeard Murderer" in the early 1900's, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Ben_Rhoades">Robert Ben Rhoades</a> who killed as many as 50 at truck stops, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Eyler">Larry Eyler</a> who was known as the Interstate Killer in the 1980's who may have taken the lives of dozens and of course, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wayne_Gacy">John Wayne Gacy</a>.</p><p>Only California, Texas and Florida have had more serial killings than Illinois which is a pathetic legacy for a state.</p><p>Evil sadly exists everywhere in the world, but it's unfortunate that so many horrific stories from these killers can be told with Illinois as the backdrop.</p></div></body>
