Johnathan Baker is a moron. He thinks numbers are going to change the fact that the city needs a better infrastructure and that will cost everyone more money. Pay for it. It's your damn responsibility as a Pickens citizen to take care of your city and home. Johnathan likes to go around finding things to stir the pot that most everyone was fine with. Then he goes and puts bologna in their heads.

I am a resident of Pickens and have. faith that the mayor is acting in our best interest. I am disappointed that this group chose to have a protest when the city and council members are still working to clean up the mess from Helene. There are so many people suffering from losses incurred during this historic catastrophic event. IMy understanding is The Joint Regional Water is relying on several small municipalities to fund a hundred million dollar new plant … that would be several years down the road to supply water. I support the mayor and city council while I feel ashamed of my neighbors for holding a protest while the city is still working to help those impacted by Helene. IMO they have every right to question and protest but their timing incredibly insensitive.
