October is an exciting month at the Kenton County Public Library.

BLINK will have an installation in the parking lot of the Covington Branch called Loophole that is coming from Spain. Library staff will also be near the parking lot with a community art project in which attendees can participate.

BLINK-goers are encouraged to start their adventure at the Covington Branch to ensure that the only “loophole” they encounter is the installation in the library parking lot.

Four reasons to start at the Covington Branch:

    • We are giving away FREE light-up foam wands while supplies last.

    • There will be an incredible installation in the parking lot.

    • The Midway Parking Garage is right across the street on Fifth and Scott.

    • Library staff will be there to greet you.

Also, look for the library in the BLINK parade.

    Things to note:

    • The parking lot of the Covington Branch will be closed October 15-21 (handicapped spots available).

    • Parking validation tickets are available for patrons who park at the Midtown Garage during regular library hours.

    • The book drop will not be accessible after 6 p.m. Oct. 17-20.

    • The library will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 17.

The annual Independence Branch Haunted Library will take place Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6-9:30 p.m. The library will be transformed into a haunted house suggested for ages 5 and up. Free Halloween costumes will be available while supplies last — donations are accepted — and jovialjoey.com will provide entertainment while patrons wait in line. It is sure to be a scare of a good time.
