Special Olympics Kentucky Region 2 Flag Football Tournament returns to Thomas More Sunday

The 2024 Special Olympics Kentucky flag football season continues Sunday, October 13, with more than 140 athletes on 14 teams competing at the Region 2 Flag Football Tournament at Republic Bank Field at Thomas More University in Crestview Hills.

Teams will compete for regional titles in six divisions.

Games get underway at 9 a.m. and will run consistently through 1 p.m. Five teams from Northern Kentucky will be competing. Other teams will come from Frankfort, Richmond and Winchester.

Teams that finish first or second in each division will advance to the State Flag Football Tournament in November in Winchester.

This is the second of two Regional Tournaments that Special Olympics Kentucky is holding this flag football season. The first was last weekend in Louisville.
