    They set the tone.

    They do the dirty work.

They help the runners run and allow the passers to pass.

“They” are the offensive lines — and the high school football teams at Lake Oswego, Lakeridge, West Linn and Wilsonville have some absolute studs up front.

Here’s a group-by-group look at the offensive lines at those four schools, along with their season statistics and what their head coaches had to say about them.

Editor’s Note: The stats in this story reflect results through Oct. 4, 2024.

    Lake Oswego

The Lakers’ 2024 line is led by senior left tackle Jaden Moore (6-foot-1, 215), senior left guard Jagar Shean (6-4, 250), senior center Noah Uecker (6-0, 200 and an honorable mention all-TRL pick in 2023), senior right guard Amin Alshaati (5-10, 260) and junior right tackle Jackson Graetz (6-2, 260), along with support from senior tackle Kellen Hilliker (6-4, 240), junior center Tripton Ciupryk (5-10, 185) and junior guard Adam Williams (6-3, 255)

Here’s what Lake Oswego coach Steve Coury had to say about his “O” line.

“There's a little experience. Uecker’s played for a couple of years … so he kind of anchors the whole thing,” said Lake Oswego coach Steve Coury. “The experience is good … so as a group, I think they're a pretty solid group of guys.”
