    If the program were actually a success than most of the people who recieved this money would now be gainfully employed and self reliant. And there is no evidence that any of them have actually taken it upon themselves to get off the public dole. And getting them off the public dole is the only measure by which a program can be called successful.

    We have a real problem with ACCOUNTABILITY in this country, from the highest offices of the land (Executive, DOJ, IRS, Secret Service, FBI, etc) right down to our state and local elected officials and bureaucrats - and including the majority of the homeless who are responsible for their own failures. Nothing gonna improve till we decide to prioritize ACCOUNTABILITY. Basic Income, free money, unearned and undeserved, is exactly what should NOT be done. I know, work sucks. You have to get up in the morning.
