As far as the recruiting scene goes, other that removing one school, Bassett hasn’t dine much other than talk to coaches.

“The recruiting graphic is definitely harder each week and I feel like I have close ties to all the remaining programs,” Bassett wrote in his newsletter. “Picking one school at the end is going to be so hard so I really want to take my time checking out any school I could see myself at.”

Air Force was removed from this week’s graphic. Bassett’s remaining schools are: Virginia Tech , Cornell , Michigan , Ohio State , Penn State , Rutgers , Iowa State , Pitt-Johnstown , Princeton , Iowa , Nebraska , Oklahoma State , Arizona State , Northern Iowa , Missouri .

And as a reminder, here is the schedule of visits for Bassett:

    Oct 25-27: Iowa
    Nov 1-3: Penn State
    Nov 8-10: Ohio State
    Nov 15-17: Virginia Tech

“This is seriously one of the best weeks for wrestlers! No extra motivation needed for Super 32 week,” Bassett said. “We had our training camp this past weekend and had wrestlers from all over the country in training. It was a great weekend for sure, my teammates and I are definitely ready to go. It will be tough matching or beating last year’s Super 32 performance as a team. We had 5 Super 32 Champions. Keegan, Melvin, Jax Forrest, Alyssa Favara and myself were all about to win belts.”

A 2024 Pennsylvania state champion and U20 World Bronze Medalist, the saga continues for Bassett.
