Two arrested in connection with Hurlock thefts, break-ins

HURLOCK — On Friday, deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, in coordination with Maryland state troopers, arrested two Hurlock men following reports of suspicious activity involving three individuals entering vehicles and building in the Cabin Creek and Meadow Drive area.

The two suspects were found in a vehicle nearby, a statement from the sheriff’s office said, and were in possession of a stolen dirt bike. The pair has since been linked to a series of thefts and break-ins at eight separate residences that night. Both men now face 23 charges related to theft and breaking and entering.

After their initial appearance before the Dorchester County Court Commissioner, Maypol Lappost Garcia, 19, and Javeon Antonie Hudson, 20, were ordered to be held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center. Authorities are continuing the search for a third suspect, who remains at large.
