Mötley Crüe made quite the entrance to their first “Höllywood Takeöver” club show at the Troubadour on Monday (October 7th).

As captured in a video posted on the band’s YouTube channel, a garbage truck pulled up in front of the club on the Sunset Strip and deposited a heap of trash bags, a mattress, and the members of Mötley Crüe. Tommy Lee had the most fun with the stunt, rolling onto the pavement with the trash bags, while the rest of the band were a bit more cautious as they jumped down from the back of the truck.

The hilarious bit was a callback to Mötley Crüe’s early days as a young band trying to make its name playing venues like the Troubadour. As depicted in the infamous biography The Dirt , their living conditions were far from sanitary during those formative years, hence the garbage truck.

Following their notable entrance, the Crüe proceeded to treat their most adorning fans to an intimate 16-song set that spanned the group’s career. The setlist hit staple tracks from early albums such as Too Fast for Love (“Live Wire,” “On with the Show,” and “Too Fast for Love”) and Shout at the Devil (“Looks That Kill” and “Shout at the Devil”), plus the three big hits from Dr. Feelgood (“Dr. Feelgood,” “Kickstart My Heart,” and “Same Ol’ Situation”).

Mötley Crüe also snuck in two songs from their new Cancelled EP, including the original “Dogs of War” and a cover of Beastie Boys’ “Fight for Your Right.”

The “Höllywood Takeöver” continues Wednesday night (October 9th) at The Roxy and on Friday (October 11th) at the Whisky A Go Go. After that, the Crüe will play the Aftershock festival on Sunday (October 13th) in Sacramento, and a Las Vegas residency is set for spring of next year. Get tickets here .
