Maine Coons are one of the most striking cats. Their immense size, beautiful coats, and giant paws make them a sight to behold. And their exceptionally outgoing personalities only add to their charm.

This beautiful ginger has yet another asset to show off. His tail is so impressive that it practically doubles the size of his body, trailing behind him like a regal plume of golden fluff.

Check out this video from October 3 to see this feline’s fabulous look.

This is the first time I’ve seen something quite like this! While Oliver’s (@ oliver_themainecoon ) tail may have appeared to be of average size when he was a kitten, that isn’t the case now. Although @giantmainecooncats may raise some uniquely large and magnificent Maine Coons, this fellow’s tail is one for the record books. Not only does the impressive length virtually double his size, but it’s also fluffy and wide, as it hangs behind him like a feather duster. This gorgeous boy must be a terrific help around the house because no matter where he goes, he’s likely to leave a trail of dust-free surfaces. While he might also leave his fair share of fur behind, it’s a small price to pay for having this fluffy sweetheart as part of the family.

How Big Is a Maine Coons Tail?

Although Oliver’s may be exceptional, Maine Coons are famous for their magnificent tails, often as long as their bodies, with some reaching 16 inches in length, according to Lincolnway Veterinary Clinic. But this adorable feature isn’t just for looks, as it also helps provide them with balance and also helps them communicate . These felines are well known for their impressive size and stature, making them one of the largest domesticated cat breeds . Adults weigh 10 to 25 pounds, though some can weigh even more, with males often bigger than females. Their large, tufted paws are well-adapted for navigating rough terrains, a trait inherited from their wild ancestors who lived through snowy winters in Maine. However, MC mixes do not present with the same substantial tails, sometimes making them easier to spot.

People were impressed with this cat’s floofy backside. One person shared, “OMG. Fluffiness overload. I love that feather fairy duster. This is my kind of kitty cat.” He’s a total beauty. Viewer @kristinnlizz responded, “This cutie is so cute. I love him!” He’s an adorable guy. Viewer @cocktailsandmeows remarked, “Wow! Just wow!” That sums it up perfectly!

While these majestic cats might be beautiful, it is their gentle, sweet, and friendly natures that make them shine. It’s no wonder this breed is beloved by so many worldwide.
