Colorado has declared that they hope to see Deion Sanders stay with the school for years to come with Shedeur and Shilo Sanders set to leave for the NFL, along with superstar Travis Hunter .

The legendary NFL figure turned college football coach is in his second season as Buffaloes head coach, leading the team to an impressive 4-1 start with his son playing impressively at quarterback while being expected to be a first-round pick, along with do-it-all star Hunter who could be the first overall pick.

But with those two and his son Shilo, set to leave this offseason , some had expected Deion to walk away and potentially look for another opportunity. However, the school hopes to keep him on.

The University of Colorado's atheltic director Rick George said he hopes Sanders will stay with Colorado for years to come, will wanting him to finish his coaching career with the school.

"We hope Coach Prime finishes his career here," George said. "I think he can do significant things for us long-term with longevity. I think Coach would sit here and tell you that he and I are on the same page about where we want this program to go.

"It’s not a short-term fix and we want to set it up to be sustainable for the future. I think what he’s done is incredible. I like the culture he’s created. I see it on a daily basis… I like where we’re at."

Last month, Sanders shared some eyebrow-raising words amid claims he could quit Colorado at the end of the season to take charge at Florida State.

He said: "Look around your environment and ask yourself can you do better than what you're doing? What areas in your life need improvement? How can you change it and are you willing to change? Only a fool thinks they don't need change or help. Don't be that fool?

"We can all be better and do better. Listen to those that have been there and done what you're trying to do. Use all your personal resources to make life happen for you."

Sanders still has three years remaining on his five-year, $29.5 million contract with the Buffs after this season, meaning it would cost another program a huge sum to bring him over. The legendary NFL figure has also stated, on multiple occasions, he has no plans to ever coach in the NFL.

Hopefully, he can stay with the Buffs for a few years, and then whatever they call him up to ready to get another job.
