The actors and crew of the new Tin Building Theatre comedy are excited to bring their latest production to audiences this weekend with the musical comedy Derby Girls, which will run for four performances over two weekends at the Bosque Arts Center.

Opening night for the show will be a dinner theater on Saturday, Oct. 12, with playwright, Alicia Lane Dutton, scheduled to attend. Three additional performances follow, including a closing night dinner and show Oct. 19.

Director Debbie Rollins said Derby Girls is hilarious musical, one audiences continually request to see. The show features a cast of TBT favorites including Joann Grelle, Linda Lowrance, Belinda Honea, Michael Richardson, Kassidy Cordona, Connie Terry, Don Boysen and Danielle Ybarra.

The action of the play takes place when several middle-aged friends attend the Kentucky Derby. What could possibly go wrong? Well, just about everything, but the show is bound to keep audiences in stitches while wanting to sing along to a variety of beloved songs featured throughout the show.

“The cast will be singing, dancing, and keeps the crowd laughing during this fun night at the theater,” Rollins said.

Tickets are still available for all performances including the opening night dinner performance; a Sunday matinee on Oct. 13; a regular show on Friday, Oct. 18; and a final dinner show on Saturday, Oct. 19. Dinner tickets are $45, regular performances are $20. Tickets can be secured by contacting the Bosque Arts Center at 254-675-3724 or online at bosqueartscenter.org.
