Four Cherokee County School District students have been selected for the All-State Theatre Program, the district announced.

Cherokee High School seniors Kayleigh Coda and Samantha Geer, and Sequoyah High School seniors Noah Popp and Ava Grace Roberts, will participate in this year’s program.

It culminates with performances at the 2025 Georgia Thespian Conference, which is attended by high school theatre students and educators statewide.

Coda, Greer, and Robert all successfully auditioned for the cast of the conference’s opening and closing performances. This is the second consecutive year for Roberts to be selected. Popp, through a competitive application process, was chosen for a second consecutive year to design and operate the event’s lighting systems.

Theatre program directors are Jodi Burn at Cherokee High School and Cindy Humphlett at Sequoyah High School.

Between now and the February conference in Columbus, the cast and crew will prepare for their roles and participate in rehearsals.

The Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis will recognize the students and their teachers at an upcoming school board meeting.
