Annual event returns this Sunday to Wichita

Open Streets ICT returns this Sunday, October 13 for its seventh year.

The festivities will be held on Douglas Avenue from Bluff Street in College Hill to Glenn Street in the historic Delano District. Visitors can cruise on bikes and skateboards or walk and stop at activity hubs, shop businesses on the route, and visit food and street vendors while listening to music.

If you bring pets, they must be kept on a leash. Water stations for dogs will be available along the route.

Wichita Transit is offering free rides on the Q-Line trolley during the event on First and Second Streets from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. The shuttle will run from 2nd & Oliver to 2nd & Waco, then circle back up 1st Street to Oliver.

Open Streets ICT will be held from Noon – 5 p.m.  Streets will close at 10 a.m. and reopen by 6 p.m. that evening.
