She never once looks up, and the sales person just lost $7,000 for Classic. We are living in a different time folks. Trust no one, especially when you have tens of thousands $$$$ of jewelry on hand. Classic will rethink things, and make adjustments, and make sure sales people are paying attention in future. Anytime you work retail you have to remain vigilant. It could have been alot worse. She's only a thief, but could've been a nut with a gun. The sales person obviously has been there a while. Just doing his job, not thinking this woman was going to grab & go, sort of. We become complacent when things are repetitious all day, every day. How badly do you value your job, and possibly your life? Worked in a bank for 14 years when I was really young. We were fortunate as some of HPD worked part time making sure their presence was seen & felt. Classic does not have this luxury, and I don't know if Bouncers are allowed in real pawn stores.
