Intermittent Closures on Sleater Kinney Rd NE for Utility Work

Commuters driving along Sleater Kinney Rd NE can expect lane closures this month, the City of Olympia announced on Wednesday.

According to city officials, the northbound lanes will be closed intermittently starting Wednesday, Oct. 16, through Wednesday Oct. 30.

Traffic disruptions could occur as early at 7 a.m. and continue throughout the workday, city officials report. The closures, they say further, will last for a few minutes while trucks carrying underground stormwater vaults enter and exit the site. Signage and flaggers will be onsite to assist with traffic control, according to city officials.

The closure, city officials add, is intended to accommodate utility work as part of the construction project at the "Rajinders Manhas Activity Center" owned by the North Thurston School District on 200 Sleater Kinney Rd NE.
