    Legal Aid of North Carolina to assist with hurricane recovery on Thursday

    BOONE — Attention Boone and surrounding areas! The LANCMobile is in town, ready to assist residents affected by Hurricane Helene with their disaster-related legal needs.

    This mobile legal aid unit provides free, confidential assistance to those in need, including help with:

    • Providing survivors with information about their rights

    • Answering questions about insurance and claims

    • Advocating for people when they are applying for recovery fund assistance and appealing decisions

    What: LANCMobile providing legal assistance for disaster-related needs

    When: Thursday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
