They need to raise the dollar amounts to get on Medicaid. Those have not been raised in 60 years!!

I am a Benefit Specialist. I think there are alot of misunderstanding to disability benefits and working. Often a person will see a decrease in SSI payments but still come out ahead when working. It is vital to work with a Benefit Specialist when making decisions around employment. Many people retain their Medicaid even if SSI payments stop as long as they remain eligible. There are also many work incentives for people with disabilities that want to work. It is a hard system to navigate and being informed will help to guide you through the confusion.
