Local Franchisee Planning New Tropical Smoothie Cafe Location

A new Tropical Smoothie Cafe is coming to 412 11th Ave N. in the Capitol View area, according to recently filed permits.

The new spot is the third location to come to the Nashville area, with one already open at 7630 Highway 70 S. and one location that opened this year in Bellevue at 7078 Charlotte Pike.

The Bellevue location is operated by local franchise owner Sachin Patel. Patel confirmed with What Now Nashville that he will be the franchisee for the new location along 11th Avenue, as well.

In a previous interview with What Now Nashville, Patel shared that he used to be a franchisee with a national sandwich brand, but he turned toward franchising the Tropical Smoothie Cafe when he moved back to Tennessee.

“I’m local to the area, so it’s exciting to be going back to my roots and providing my community with a new go-to spot for their needs,” Patel said in the previous interview. “The smoothies and food are unbeatable, so I think this will be a welcomed addition to the area.”

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a fast-casual chain that focuses on health food, including fruit and acai bowls, fruit and vegetable smoothies, wraps and flatbreads. The Florida-based franchise has more than 1,450 locations nationwide.

As of now, it is unclear when the new location will open. Patel is expected to open several more locations in the area in the coming years.
