CHICAGO — A tense situation unfolded at Trump Tower in Chicago's River North neighborhood after a firearm was spotted in a hotel room, leading to the arrest of a 21-year-old Ohio man.

Brandon Peck has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and for not possessing a valid Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card. Chicago police responded to the 400 block of North Wabash Avenue around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday after the sighting was reported.

SWAT teams quickly arrived at the scene, and Peck was taken into custody without resistance. He is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Wednesday.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, and more details may emerge as the story develops.
