Scheana Shay Gives ‘Best Divorce Advice’ for Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor

When it comes to life advice, I’m not sure Scheana Shay would be the friend I would turn to. Don’t get me wrong, I love Scheana. But she’s more of a solid source of support, not suggestions.

One thing Scheana is familiar with is divorce. So she happens to have some insight for friends Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright . The estranged stars of The Valley and Scheana’s former castmates on Vanderpump Rules are in the midst of a messy divorce.

Thankfully, Scheana is here to help.

Scheana Shay says keep the kids out of it

In a recent chat with Page Six , Scheana shared her thoughts on how to navigate divorce.

“The difference is when I got divorced, there was not a house or a child involved,” she clarified. The longtime Pump Rules star famously married and later divorced Mike Shay while cameras rolled. The couple divorced finalized their divorce in 2017.

“My best advice today would just be try and co-parent the best you can so that Cruz has the most peace possible in his life,” Scheana stated. “Never argue in front of your kid.”

Brittany and Jax were married (also on camera) in 2019 and welcomed their son Cruz in 2021. The two separated in February of this year and Britt finally filed for divorce in August. Adding to the drama, Jax was reportedly served with divorce papers on camera .

Which is something Scheana has a front-row seat for. “Season 2 of The Valley is gonna be spicy,” she teased.

The Good as Gold singer went on to praise Brittany for “putting herself and her child first” during the break-up.

It’s a sentiment that Britt has echoed herself when speaking publicly about her split.

“Obviously, we’re both going to put him first,” the proud mom recently stated . “It’s going to be fine no matter what because we both love him so much. So, even if Jax and I are fighting, it’s not going to ever [affect] Cruz. It’s never going to be a thing.”
