    Looking to get some workouts in before the holidays begin? A soon-to-be-opening training facility at a Westchester shopping center has got you covered.

    D1 Training , a training facility franchise founded by former NFL player Will Bartholomew, will open a new location at the Ridge Hill shopping center in Yonkers at 26 Market St. on Saturday, Oct. 19.

    Those who visit the new facility will be able to try a sports-science-backed training regimen led by certified trainers for all age levels. The four age-based programs offered include:

    • Rookie, for ages 7 to 11;
    • Developmental, for ages 12 to 14;
    • Prep, for ages 15 to 18;
    • D1 Adult.

    The facility's CEO and owner, Riccardo Gallo, is a former bodybuilder who has also worked as a volunteer firefighter. He aims to help athletes reach their full potential through the new facility.

    "I can’t wait to bring this inclusive and welcoming fitness experience to the Ridge Hill community, catering to anyone at any level who is looking forward to improving their physical abilities," Gallo said.

    During the facility's grand opening event, neighbors and residents can stop by and meet the gym's team, view demonstrations, and enjoy delicious, healthy snacks.

    The new facility will be the second to open in Westchester following the Armonk locale at 130 Business Park Dr., which opened in February 2024.
