Because corporations own nursing homes and pay diddly squat for staffing and then make profits. I've worked in this field for nearly 40 years, and Indiana was told to plan ahead decades ago. They were literally the worst of the 50 states. Now, all the corporations are yelling at state government to fight it, which they do. As a whole, corporations and the government don't care one bit for our elderly. Shame on them all.
