    Game 4 Thursday in Detroit

The Tigers are on the verge of their first appearance in the ALCS since 2013 thanks to a 3-0 win over Cleveland Wednesday afternoon in Detroit.

Detroit scored first in Game 3 plating a run in the 1st inning and pushing another run across in the 3rd to take a 2-0 lead.

They added another run in the 6th courtesy of Spencer Torkelson and that lead held up as the bullpen closed it out.

Tigers pitching held Cleveland to just six hits on the day.

Game 4 is Thursday evening in Detroit.

Cleveland is expected to start ace Tanner Bibee who held Detroit scoreless in Game 1.

The Tigers have yet to announce a Game 4 starter.

A win by the Tigers would propel them to the ALCS for the first time since 2013 where they would face New York or Kansas City.

A win by the Guardians would force a winner take all Game 5 this weekend in Cleveland.
