    Waconia runners earn fourth win in a row

    The Waconia girls cross country team continued its dominant start to the season by winning their third and fourth meet in a row, taking first place at Buffalo Sept. 19 and at New Prague Sept. 24.

    At Buffalo, Avery Hess (9th grade) placed second overall with a time of 20 minutes, 28 seconds. Jaidee Goehring (10th grade) was third with a time of 21:04. Brekken Miller (9th grade) was fifth with a time of 21:29. Hazel Dubbe (8th grade) was 10th with a time of 21:54. Ezra Glieden (9th grade) was 11th with a time of 21:59.

    Avery Hess won the race at New Prague with a time of 19:36, Brekken Miller was third (19:58), Jaidee Goehring was fifth (20:02), Hazel Dubbe 15th (20:58) and Ezra Glieden was 22nd (21:26).

    The boys have also been doing well this season. After finishing just behind the reigning state champs at a home meet, the Wildcats had strong showings at Buffalo and New Prague.

    At Buffalo, Mitchell Moyer (10th grade) had a time of 17:43, Soren Kendrick (9th grade) had a time of 17:47, Gunnar Gorrie (9th grade) had a time of 18:29, Jackson Klinglehutz (9th grade) had a time of 18:38 and Sam Catron (11th grade) had a time of 18:56.

    Mitchell Moyer was fifth overall at the New Prague meet with time of 17:00, Soren Kendrick was ninth (17:10), Sam Catron (18:01) and Jackson Klingelhutz (18:14).
