Genaro Davalos-Pulido, 31, of Atlanta, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia announced today.

Between March 2019 and October 2021, Davalos-Pulido and a co-conspirator operated two clandestine methamphetamine conversion laboratories in the Atlanta area, according to U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan.

“Methamphetamine manufacturers and traffickers like Davalos-Pulido pose a tremendous threat to the safety of our communities,” said Buchanan. “Thanks to the relentless investigative efforts of our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, he’s facing the consequences of his crimes.”

According to the charges and other information presented in court: Davalos-Pulido and a co-conspirator operated two clandestine methamphetamine conversion laboratories.

One meth lab was located in Morrow, Georgia, where DEA agents discovered supplies associated with meth production after surveillance revealed suspicious activity at a residence.

On April 23, 2019, Davalos-Pulido was seen loading buckets containing liquid methamphetamine mixed with paint into a vehicle in Morrow.

Clayton County police seized over 156 kilograms of liquid meth during a traffic stop. Davalos-Pulido and his co-conspirator fled the area after the seizure, the department says.

In October 2021, DEA agents arrested Davalos-Pulido at a second meth lab in Norcross, Georgia, according to the department.

During the search, agents recovered a loaded firearm, a .50 caliber rifle, over 150 kilograms of methamphetamine, and other materials used for drug manufacturing.

Davalos-Pulido was taken into custody at the scene, the department stated.

“Guns, drugs, and violence are unfortunately all too common tools of the drug traffickers operating in our communities,” said Robert J. Murphy, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Division.

“Today’s announcement demonstrates DEA’s emphatic commitment to attacking the violent drug dealers responsible for the devastation.”
