Georgia-Pacific has officially opened its new Dixie® tableware manufacturing facility in Jackson, Tennessee. Announced in September 2022, the $425 million plant is the company’s first new Dixie® production site since 1991 and marks a significant expansion in the supply of disposable tableware products, including Dixie® and Dixie Ultra® plates, bowls, and platters.

The state-of-the-art facility, located on 241 acres at 65 Cardinal Drive, began production in June 2024 and is set to create at least 220 new jobs. Fernando Gonzalez, president of Georgia-Pacific’s consumer products group, praised Jackson’s strong manufacturing presence, emphasizing the company's commitment to meeting growing consumer demand.

The Jackson community has embraced the new plant, which also aims to strengthen local partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations. Since 2011, Georgia-Pacific has invested over $675 million in Tennessee, contributing to the state's economy and workforce.
