Rihanna has lost her much-coveted title as the richest female musician in the world to American pop icon Taylor Swift.

According to Forbes magazine , Swift has officially claimed the title surpassing Rihanna with a staggering net worth estimated at $1.6 billion.

The 34-year-old Swift reached billionaire status only in 2023, largely due to her immensely successful Eras Tour, which captivated audiences around the globe. Forbes reported that Swift became a billionaire in October 2023, thanks to significant earnings from her sold-out concert tour and the impressive value of her music catalog.

Notably, she is the first musician to achieve billionaire status primarily through her songs and live performances. Her financial portfolio includes around $600 million generated from touring and royalties, $600 million from her extensive music catalog and $125 million in real estate holdings.

With this remarkable financial milestone, Swift now ranks #2,117 on the Forbes list of the world’s billionaires, outpacing other legendary female artists. Dolly Parton is estimated at $450 million, Barbra Streisand at $460 million, Celine Dion at $550 million, Beyoncé at $760 million, and Madonna at $850 million. Rihanna, once the richest female musician with a peak net worth of $1.7 billion, now holds the #2,336 position on the Forbes list with an estimated worth of $1.4 billion , largely thanks to her successful Fenty Beauty line and Savage x Fenty lingerie.

Swift’s impressive financial success makes her the second-richest musician globally, trailing only Jay-Z , whose wealth is estimated at $2.5 billion.

As she enjoys a brief hiatus, Swift is preparing for the final leg of her Eras Tour, which will resume on October 18 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
