Williamsport, Pa. — Did you know that the records at the Register and Recorder's Office of Lycoming County are available to the public? Anyone can go into their offices and browse their many historical records — great resources for those interested in genealogy and local history!

On Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. the Taber Museum will host David Huffman, Register and Recorder for Lycoming County. Huffman will give a presentation for the Lycoming County Genealogical Society about how to access these resources — it's easier than it might sound!

The presentation is free and open to the public.

Huffman has been in office for about five years as the county Register and Recorder. He has a BA in Political Science and also a BA in Business Administration. Huffman also holds an MBA.

Huffman's background is in sales, marketing, and education. He serves currently on the marketing committee for the Taber Museum and is a past member of a city historical preservation board.
