LaKeith Stanfield is reuniting with Sorry Bother To You director Boots Riley for what sounds like another trippy film.

Deadline exclusively reports that LaKeith Stanfield ( Judas and the Black Messiah ), Keke Palmer ( NOPE ), Naomie Ackie (Blink Twice), and Demi Moore ( The Substance ) will star in Riley’s next film, I Love Boosters .

According to the website, the film will focus on “enterprising boosters,” aka shoplifters, who come together to take down a “cutthroat fashion maven.” Additional plot details remain under wraps.

More Production Notes Via Deadline :

Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are producing on behalf of Ryder Picture Company along with Savage Rose Films’ Allison Rose Carter and Jon Read. Mike Jackman, Gus Deardoff, Ken Kao, Josh Rosenbaum, Annapurna, and Neon will serve as executive producers. Neon is financing the film with Waypoint Entertainment and will handle the worldwide rights.

Riley is a multihyphenate working across film and music as a director, producer and screenwriter. He is best-known for his 2018 feature debut Sorry to Bother You, starring Stanfield and Tessa Thompson. Riley also created the Amazon original miniseries I’m a Virgo with Jharrel Jerome in the leading role.

If this film is anything like Sorry To Bother You or I’m A Virgo , you can expect some wild moments that will catch you off guard.

That is a staple of Boots Riley films. We are very intrigued to see what this film looks like.
