The National Weather Service in Binghamton issued a frost advisory early this morning that’s in effect from midnight tonight until 9am Friday. “Temperatures as low as 36 will result in frost formation” across portions of Central New York and northeast Pennsylvania, they say.

Temperatures dipped to the low 40s in Ithaca overnight and could be a few degrees cooler tonight.

“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” says the National Weather Service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
