    Former West Union Teacher Indicted for Child Enticement

    A former teacher at West Union Attendance Center has been indicted by a grand jury on one count of enticement of a child.

    Lauren Kennamore, age 36, was accused of allegedly enticing a seventeen year old student between February and March 2024, according to WTVA.

    Kennamore was booked into the county jail by deputies with Union County Sheriff's Department on the same day as her indictment.

    Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards stated that the school fired her after the accusation was made.

    Kennamore is also employed as an academic counselor at Ole Miss; however, the university has opted to place Kennamore on leave.

    More information will be released about the case as it becomes available.
