Injury Report: LSU potentially down multiple receivers vs. Ole Miss

Both LSU and Ole Miss released their initial injury reports on Wednesday night listing several players as either probable, questionable, doubtful, or out for Saturday’s game in Tiger Stadium. Here is the latest on everything to know on player availability until the final injury reports are released on Saturday.

LSU’s injury report

Wide receiver Kyle Parker joins the growing list of players OUT for this game — namely Harold Perkins, Jacobian Guillory, and John Emery who are out for the remainder of the season.

Linebacker West Weeks is listed as doubtful and has already missed multiple games this season, further limiting the Tigers’ linebacker depth.

Wide receivers Chris Hilton and CJ Daniels are both listed as questionable. Hilton has not played in a game all season with what was initially diagnosed as a bone bruise on his foot. Daniels aggravated an old knee injury, but was supposed to be practicing this week.

Running back Caden Durham , defensive tackle Jay’Viar Suggs , and defensive tackle Jalen Lee are all probable for Saturday’s game.

LSU enters this contest off of a bye week, but it was not one where the players were off an extended amount of time as Brian Kelly wanted to continue to work and improve as a team before this crucial game against the Rebels. In the first home SEC game of the year, Tiger Stadium is expected to be rocking as LSU enters as underdogs at home for just the second time under Kelly. The first was the win over Alabama in 2022.

Ole Miss’ injury report

While LSU’s injury report seemed dire, Lane Kiffin has plenty to deal with on his own front.

Here are the primary names to know:

Starting offensive tackle Jayden Williams is OUT.

Starting defensive end Princely Umanmielen is questionable.

Star wide receiver Tre Harris is questionable.

Starting defensive tackle JJ Pegues is questionable

Starting linebacker TJ Dottery, and running back Henry Parrish are both probable.

Ole Miss enters this game having played six straight weeks without a bye and now enters its second straight SEC road game in a row. The Rebels built a playoff contender in the transfer portal and have a top 10 team in the country, but that depth could be tested more than Kiffin would like in a game of this magnitude.

Here were his comments on Monday on Harris, the leading receiver in the country and the best player on the Rebels’ offense:

“He didn’t finish the first half and wasn’t close to going back in the second half. He certainly wouldn’t be playing today, so we have to get the other guys ready and we have to perform better than we did in the second half when we scored three points – now, we only threw one pass in the fourth quarter. That makes us move people in different spots when he’s out, so we’re preparing to do that and preparing to play without him.”
