According to a new report by QC News, a water main break prompted an NC high school closure this morning. According to the report, Northwest Cabarrus High School, located in Cabarrus County, closed the school this morning due to the water main break.

Families of the children were informed that the school would be shut down for the day upon arriving at the school. The school released a statement saying, "Car riders are being dismissed now. Bus riders will be dismissed at approximately 9:00 AM following the completion of middle school bus routes".

District officials stated that Boger Elementary and Northwest Cabarrus Middle Schools will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
