Enterprise (Ala.) high school football head coach Ben Blackmon has been suspended one game by the AHSAA after a video showed Blackmon and an assistant coach improperly filming a future opponent last week, per WKRG .

The video submitted to WKRG shows Blackmon sitting beside an Enterprise assistant filming Opelika’s (Ala.) game against Dothan (Ala.) last Friday. Enterprise is scheduled to play Opelika this week.

Per Alabama High School Athletic Association bylaws:

“A school may not video tape nor film any contest in which it is not involved unless it has received permission from both participating schools.”

    Blackmon responded to the suspension.

“We received a letter stating that I am suspended for Friday’s game. I accept the ruling and will not appeal,” Blackmon said. “I did not direct our young coach to record that video, but I didn’t stop the action either. I’ve scouted games thousands of times… there’s never been video taken. This is the first time and the last time.”
