SKANEATELES – Heading on the road Wednesday night, the Baldwinsville girls swim team faced Skaneateles along with some top swimmers from Marcellus.

On the team side, the Bees, without Olivia McManus in the lineup, lost, 96-81, to the Lakers, only claiming three of the 12 events, though it included the opening 200-yard medley relay.

Later in the meet, Allison Kyle beat the field in the 500 freesetyle in 5:52.01, while Caydence Szkotak was victorious in the 100 backstroke in 1:12.68 as she swam the 100 freestyle in 1:01.26 for third place.

Atherton got to second place in the 200 individual medley in 2:33.34 and third in the 100 butterfly in 1:09.64, while Kyle’s 27.63 seconds in the 50 freestyle only trailed the 26.94 from Skaneateles’ Olivia Springer.

Gwendolen Matt was third in the 200 freestyle in 2:24.18 and Natalie Pietricola third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.89. Matt, Szkotak, Premo and Atherton went 1:56.13 for second in the 200 freestyle relay.
