Tom Brady, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion, announced a significant contribution Thursday morning in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton.

Brady, who won six championships with the New England Patriots before leading the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory in 2020, took to Instagram to share the news, pledging $100,000 to help residents of Florida recover from the disaster.

The storm, which made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane and struck Tampa hard, left widespread damage across the state, prompting relief efforts from various organizations and individuals.

Brady's donation will aid in providing essentials such as food, water, and first aid to those affected.

His time in Tampa Bay was marked by unprecedented success for the Buccaneers, where he helped the team secure its second Super Bowl in franchise history, bringing championship glory back to the city.

"In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I'll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water, and first aid to fellow Floridians in need," Brady wrote on social media, expressing his commitment to aiding the recovery.

To amplify the impact, GoPuff , a delivery service known for its rapid delivery of essential goods, has matched Brady's $100,000 donation, bringing the total to $200,000. The funds will be directed through the "Give With GoPuff" initiative to support the Volunteer Florida Foundation in its ongoing relief efforts.

"Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you're able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida," Brady added, calling for unity and community support during these challenging times.

Hurricane Milton has left a trail of destruction throughout Florida, with Tampa among the hardest-hit areas. The hurricane's strong winds and flooding resulted in damaged infrastructure, millions of power outages and displaced residents, creating a pressing need for aid and relief services.

Brady's contribution, coupled with GoPuff's support, aims to make a meaningful difference for those struggling in the aftermath.
